Tell a little about yourself.
-im from LA, and 5' 11"

Tell a little about this zine.
-the zine is called MUCK and its stapled together

how do you select the titles for the issues?
-i selected them the titles by asking Carl

why do u ascribe to “the zine”? (the act of making a zine)
-i thought it'd be a good idea to make one, i was bored

what does the zine mean to you?
-the zine means more than my children.

what do you get out of it?
-i get nothing out of it, except humiliated

any aspirations for having this zine self-published and out there? for the readers?
-no aspirations for the masses, doesnt matter to me.

describe the process of putting it together?
-the process is long, hard, and soaked in liquor, but seriously, its frustrating.


having read yr work, a sense of place really comes out of the writing, as in the place where these stories and the people in them are coming from. What does it mean to have this zine situated in Los Angeles, CA?
(in other words: what role does LA play in the writing/the content?)
-to have this zine micro-produce in LA is very convinient for me because i live here. in other words very inspiring.

are the contributors to the zine also from Los Angeles?
-yes all the contributors are from LA, but all want to leave.

If your art could speak, what would it say about you?
-im not sure what my art would say if it spoke. but im sure it would have a lisp.

who are some of yr fave writers, influences, etc?
-most of my favorite writers are dead, except Jerry Stahl, other influences are Jim Bean, Stone Brewing Co. and women,ect.

finally, what does Los Angeles mean to you?
Describe what comes to mind when you think LA?
-finally. LA means a lot to me. its like a three ring circus that will soon become an island.
when i think of LA... freeway traffic comes to mind, light polution, drugs, music and art, rapist, thiefs, poverty, and makes me think of the weather.
